Rod & Reel Pier RestaurantThe first is the Rod & Reel Pier restaurant. As it's name suggests it's out at the end of the pier.
On the Pier level of the restaurant is a tiny bar, with a deck out back to fish from. Upstairs is the restaurant. There is an outdoor deck in back and the dining room inside. Their fish is super fresh and well prepared. My favorite, the grouper sandwich, is amazing! They're also open for a great breakfast. Don't miss the experience. Anna Maria City Pier Restaurant
The next of the casual Anna Maria restaurants is really just down the street from the Rod & Reel Pier. It is the Anna Maria City Pier Restaurant, and is also located on Tampa Bay with basically the same great views.This is also a gem in the rough. The food is excellent, the service is good and the view is magnificent! At this restaurant, you'll also pass by fishermen enjoying a day's fishing and perhaps a cold beer on the pier. The pelicans are almost always playing in the water, hoping to get some scraps from the fishermen. There's an extremely relaxed, laid back and friendly atmosphere. It's well worth the trip. Bradenton Beach Pier & CafeAnd, last, but certainly not least is the Bradenton Beach Pier & Cafe. I have not eaten here, but it is on the Bradenton Beach Pier and, so, has nice waterfront views. There are some wonderful shops on Bridge Ave. on your way to the Pier.

The views of Tampa Bay and the Skyway Bridge are spectacular! Walking down the Pier to get to the restaurant, you'll pass by several fishermen fishing on the Pier, who are quite willing to engage in conversation about the day's catch, the Island, or just about anything else.
