This is a marvelous book with lots of information and photos about seashells, sea beans, fossils, sea foam, birds, mammals and rocks found on Florida's beaches.
There are 985 color photos and 431 maps included. Not only is this a great reference book, but also fun beach reading.
Definitely the perfect book for the Florida beachcomber. A must read.
Florida's Fabulous Waterbirds: Their Stories
by Winston Williams.
This is a beautifully illustrated book with large photos of egrets, flamingos, frigates, gulls, herons, osprey, ibis, pelicans, spoonbills, sandpipers, terns and many more Florida water birds.
The birdwatcher eager to learn about Florida's water birds will love this book, probably as much as I do. It's been in my library for years!
Florida's Fabulous Seashells: And Other Seashore Life
by Winston Williams.
If you're planning a visit to Florida and are going shelling (a favorite pasttime), you'll find this book indispensable. Not only does it beautifully illustrate all of Florida's seashells with gorgeous photos and narratives, but also includes info on crabs, fossil shells, shark teeth and different colored beach sands.
All shells have gorgeous, large photos and information about them.
